From David Wackett.
Dear Brian,
After to talk that John gave to the club some years ago I was keen to visit and was not disappointed.
There was beauty in broad views of the area and also small details which showed the thought that had gone into the design and development.
It was a real joy to wander round and a privilege to meet John who is such a warm outgoing person. His two Border Collie meeters and greeters also made one feel welcome!
From the comments of members as we went round it was clear that everyone was enjoying it. The tearoom/cafe was well used and much appreciated; the staff were helpful and hardworking and the food was good quality and value for money.
The phrase excellent quality and value for money could be used to apply to everything.
The coach journey was comfortable and reassuringly steady, except for a burnt-out vehicle of some sort which caused diversions for cars but thanks to the quick witted and considerate police only caused us a minor delay. Our driver was most helpful.
The threatened rain held off until about an hour before departure and didn’t disturb our day unduly.
A great place to visit and revisit!

Hi David,
I just thought that I’d email you to say thank you for organising the coach trip to John’s garden yesterday. The garden was so interesting & John himself is so friendly & tried to speak to everyone
It was a very good day & everyone I spoke to had enjoyed it.
We were also lucky with the weather & it stayed dry until later in the afternoon didn’t it.
I’ve also enclosed a few photos I’d taken.
Gill.

Thank you, David for organising this trip.
