‘The Garden at Stockton Bury‘

On September 17th members made a very welcome return to our indoor meetings at Powick Parish Hall. Our speaker on this occasion was Tamsin Westhorpe, a ‘hands-on gardener’ at her family garden, Stockton Bury in Herefordshire. Tamsin started her horticultural career as a greenkeeper, and amongst many other roles, writes for newspapers and magazines, is a former editor of The English Garden and is an RHS judge. Phew!
Tamsin took us through the seasons at Stockton Bury, illustrating her talk with photos that showed us the beauty of the gardens. Her advice and information was practical ( Who has time to do that??!!) and helpful ( You don’t need to plant your tulip bulbs until February!) and all delivered with a good dose of humour.
A great return to indoor meetings for the club- thank you Tamsin
