During a committee meeting earlier this year it was mentioned that the BPGC will be 10 years old this September, something I hadn’t realised and it was suggested that we should organise something to celebrate the occasion.
As one of the founder members, I thought it was very touching that they wished to do so.
Following extensive testing, by some committee members, We have booked The Wood House at Apple Tree Kitchen, Clifton Upon Teme, for August 20th at 12 noon.The Wood House is a large, high-ceilinged, oak beamed function room newly built in a traditional style with a rustic wooden bar. The Woodhouse can formally seat 50 people we will have exclusive use of the Woodhouse and its facilities and the patio outside, with the Woodhouse dedicated waiting staff to look after us.
Tea or Filter Coffee will be served on arrival,
MENU.
Lunch will be a Classic Buffet of Hand Carved Slow Cooked ham, with Quiche Lorraine, Cheese and Onion Slice and Vegetarian Quiche, Mixed Salad, Pasta Salad, Roast Vegetable and Couscous and a Cheeseboard with 3 kinds of cheese, crackers, fruit and nuts.
VENUE.
The Apple Tree Kitchen is Set within 25 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards with picturesque views over the Teme Valley. There is also a cafe where afternoon teas and cake can be purchased separately. I think this will be a wonderful way to celebrate our ten years. Brian.
The cost for the lunch will be £25 per head, we have had to guarantee a minimum booking of 30.
