FURTHER INFORMATION

Happy New Year!

Hello Affiliated Societies and a very happy new gardening year!

If your club is planning visits for 2018 don't forget to look at the list of Specialist Plant Society events to be held at RHS Garden Wisley and other events featured in this e-newsletter.

Would your club be interested in transforming a grey space in your community into a green space for residents and the environment?  Do you have a community garden idea that could bridge the generation gap?  We’re offering a number of groups expert hands-on support from our Community Outreach team, plus up to £500 worth of plants and materials – to help communities bring their green visions to life.

Applications close 14 Feb, so hurry!

Please visit the RHS website for links to supporting information and how to apply.

A wonderful way to support your local area and start the New Year off!

If your club ordered a medal for 2018 receipts will be sent by email at the end of January.

I am updating the Affiliated Society Information Pack for 2018.  It is having a radical make-over and once completed will be emailed to everyone. It will include guidance on governance issues and insurance.  We will email a copy to each society in March 2018.

Name change

Possible name change - what is your view?

What does Affiliated Societies mean to clubs looking at our website for the first time? To encourage more clubs to join we are considering a name change. Do you think 'Supported Clubs' or 'Linked Clubs' has more meaning?  Can you think of a better title? Or do we leave well alone!
